Cross Section

The Cross Section exhibit is currently on display at the AIA Fort Worth Center for Architecture (http://www.aiafortworth.org). The exhibit is intended to focus on the architect's design process, in particular drawing.

The digital vs. drawing debate seems to have faded as the novelty of computer modeling has worn off. There is no question that the 3D programs available today are fantastic tools for design and visualization, and personally I have always embraced their use in my practice. However, I think most architects would agree that the direct connection between brain, hand, and drawing is one that has yet to be replicated in the computer world.

For my display I selected a series of drawings that I recently completed for the Walker House in Marfa Texas.
